A website called http://www.new-isetta.info has just popped into being. Hmmmm.
Isetta was the name of BMW's sub-brand back in the sixties that built the famous bubble cars. You know, the ones that Lord Stokes of BMC hated so much that he ordered Alec Issigonis to design the Mini to 'drive these damned things off our roads."
And now, just weeks after BMW revealed the first details of its all-carbon, electric/electric-hybrid MegaCity Smart rival, comes this intriguing website. Complete with the Isetta name (now Apple-ified to iSetta) attached to a logo that combines the Mini's wings with the famous BMW propeller roundel.
Again, hmmmm. A hoax? A tease? The genuine article? Don't know, unfortunately. But still. Hmmmmm.
